Q: do I have control over what order the products are showing on the page, as far as the layout? Can they be moved around or is it the way I upload them going to be how they are placed in the layout.
A: One of my clients uses a WordPress plugin called: Post Types Order
They are able to reorder the products so that they go in the order she desires them to be listed in. I remember her being a little confused at first on how to operate it, then she figured it out.
I have not used this plugin myself so it’s just hearing from her that she figured it out would suggest it can be done but will take some time learning the plugin in order for it to work. To get the plugin go to your dashboard and then on the left navigation tab click “plugins” then add new, then use the search box and type in Post Types Order to find the plugin.. then install, activate and try to follow any directions on the plugin page or that they provide you in order to make it work. Again I have not used this myself so I can’t guide you on this specific plugin. But my other client figured it out, I am confident you can as well! 🙂
update from a wonderful client
Here is the tutorial that I found on youtube that is super easy to follow http://youtu.be/VEbNKFSfhCc. In a nutshell once you activate the plugin. Go to Products then select re-order. It will take you to a page titled re-order which will allow you to drag and drop the products in the order that your want.
